We offer FDA-cleared telehealth ADHD testing with QBtech!

Our practice partners with QBTech to allow our psychiatric practitioners to offer comprehensive ADHD testing with QBTest Telehealth, an FDA-cleared objective assessment for diagnosis and treatment evaluation. This test measures all three core symptom domains: hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention.

The remote QBTest involves a 15 to 20 minute computer-based task that measures your ability to maintain attention and impulse control. Meanwhile, an infrared camera tracks movements, and therefore activity, during the test. The results are based on a comparison of your performance with data from other people of the same sex and age.

ADHD Diagnosis & Treatment FAQ

Will my ADHD testing and follow-up appointments be covered by insurance?

Depending on your specific insurance plan and provider, we may be able to submit a pre-authorization or reimbursement for the QbTest as neuropsychological assessment. Insurance plans commonly provide coverage for these assessments as well as treatment follow-ups. During the intake process, our office will work with you to manage billing expectations prior to the start of your initial appointment.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

Unfortunately at this time, our practice is not currently in-network with Medicare or Medicaid, even if they are contracted with a private insurance company. We hope to expand our accessibility to more patients in the future.

Can I transfer my care to your practice for medication management?

Our practice is currently accepting new patients, including transfers from other healthcare providers. Your personal practitioner will evaluate your medical history, patient chart, and notes from your previous providers and will make an independent determination on the course of appropriate treatment.

Do you prescribe stimulant medications?

Every patient's treatment profile is unique, and your personal practitioner will work with you to determine the most medically appropriate course of treatment, which may or may not include stimulant or non-stimulant medications.

How often will I have to have a follow-up appointment?

Due to federal regulations and to continually provide the best possible treatment care and monitoring through telehealth, standard follow-up appointments for medication management are required monthly. Extended follow-up appointments may be scheduled when an adjustment may be needed.
