ESA Letters

Emotional support animals are always there to provide support when you need them, and we are too!

We can help assess patient needs and provide ESA letters when neccessary.

What is a support animal?

An Emotional Support Animal is a companion animal that provides therapeutic benefit to an individual with a mental or emotional disability. Unlike service animals, ESAs do not require specific training to perform tasks related to a disability but must be well-behaved in public and provide comfort and support to their owner.

While ESA letters themselves are not federally protected, they play a crucial role in facilitating the rights granted under the FHA and ACAA to individuals with emotional support animals.

Moreover, it's important to note that some states may have their own laws pertaining to emotional support animals and accommodations, necessitating consideration of state-specific regulations.

Comprehensive Evaluations

We provide evaluations to assess whether an ESA is a suitable component of your treatment plan. These evaluations entail a comprehensive review of your mental health and an exploration of the potential benefits an ESA could offer. Conducted by licensed mental health professionals with sensitivity and thoroughness, our evaluations aim to determine if an ESA could significantly enhance your mental well-being.

If our evaluation concludes that an ESA is indeed beneficial for you, we may issue an ESA letter. This formal recommendation from a licensed mental health professional confirms your mental health condition and the role of an ESA in your treatment plan. ESA letters can assist you in obtaining housing accommodations and, in certain circumstances, traveling with your animal.
